Fissura é um cartaz que homenageia uma das maiores artistas brasileiras e uma das minhas cantoras favoritas, Rita Lee, que completou 50 anos de carreira em 2021. Desde o início com os Mutantes (outra banda que adoro) até o amadurecimento em sua carreira solo, Rita se tornou uma figura única no cenário musical brasileiro. Mulher forte, brilhante e cheia de canções que fizeram e fazem parte da trilha sonora de várias gerações.
Fissura (presente no álbum Bombom, lançado por ela e seu companheiro Ricardo de Carvalho, em 1983) também é uma das minhas músicas preferidas e tem um significado importante para mim. Por isso a escolhi para criar o primeiro cartaz do que pode eventualmente se tornar uma série.

Fissura is a poster that honors one of the greatest Brazilian artists and one of my favorite singers, Rita Lee, whose 50th career anniversary was celebrated in 2021. From the beginning with Os Mutantes (another band that I love) to the maturity in her solo career, Rita became a unique figure in the Brazilian music scene. Strong, brilliant woman full of songs that were and are part of the soundtrack of several generations.
Fissura (from the album Bombom, released by her and her partner Ricardo de Carvalho, in 1983) is also one of my favorite songs and has an important meaning for me. That's why I chose it to create the first poster of what could eventually become a series.

No meu processo criativo busquei inspiração em capas de 2 dos seus discos, Bombom e Saúde, além de experimentar com técnicas manuais que reforçam a crueza dos sentimentos expressos nos versos da música. Ao mesmo tempo, quis trazer um pouco da leveza do trecho que escolhi para ilustrar: Esse seu sorriso bonito que me faz lembrar do sol / Mesmo se a chuva chora lá fora. Para isso usei a técnica do recorte em papel (algo que já tinha feito antes), porém adicionando uma nova camada de manualidade através dos carimbos de EVA feitos a mão. Esse caráter mais orgânico e fluido também guiou a escolha da tipografia principal usada na palavra FISSURA, cuja disposição em quebra traduz a dualidade dos sentimentos e significados contidos no título da canção.
O resultado é uma peça vibrante, com uma ilustração que atrai o olhar para o centro do cartaz e dele se expande. Minha singela homenagem à grande Rita Lee.

In my creative process, I sought inspiration in the covers of 2 of her albums, Bombom and Saúde, in addition to experimenting with manual techniques that reinforce the rawness of the feelings expressed in the lyrics of this song. At the same time, I wanted to bring a bit of lightness from the passage I chose to illustrate: That beautiful smile of yours that reminds me of the sun / Even if the rain cries outside. For this I used the paper cut technique (something I had already done before), but adding a new layer of craftsmanship through the handmade light foam stamps. This more organic and fluid feel also guided the choice of the main typography used in the word FISSURA, which has a kind of broken layout to translate the duality of feelings and meanings contained in the song's title.
The result is a vibrant piece, with an illustration that draws the eye to the center of the poster and expands from it. My simple tribute to the great Rita Lee.
